Tarnished

I saw a great show at the Judith Wright Centre in the Valley(Brisbane) called Tarnished.
It was 90 minutes of non-stop circus-burlesque, by 4 Brisbane women,including my friends Keli and Lil.

Artist

Here is the sweet elvin artist, who comes and goes from Utopia to paint her rain tree.
It was a dead Guava tree near my house building.
One day she will finish it and we will have a flood.

Floor

Well I finally got the internal floors done with the help of local craftsman, Lee.

I picked up this cheap Cypress pine (seconds), from Injune last year.

Cypress is hated by the white ants and has a glorious smell.

I will have enough cypress sawdust to supply me with incense for a decade i reckon:)

But now having the internal floors on makes me realize how much work i have in front of me .

Especially with the walls,etc not finished and the wet season upon us.

This Is not Art

Went on a road trip to Newcastle for Electrofringe,etc last week and as usual had lots of fun, with way to much to do.                  Here is a pic from some spanish performers “Colectivo anatomic” doing their show RAW.

Kids

Larze and Azi (amongst others) came up to play here over the school holidays.

I suppose this will turn out like some kind of personel diary of bits and pieces.

At the moment my main focus is building this (recycled)pole house, where i live at Boompa(Qld,Australia).

The house is basically made from found objects….very little money used(around $1000 to date).

My father helped me in this last week, with a friend Graham.

It was the last chance dad(Ray) will have to help me for a while as he is going to hospital for a hip replacement operation in 2 weeks!
